As a partner in education, the Guntersville City Schools Child Nutrition Program contributes to a successful academic experience and encourages a lifetime of healthy eating by providing ALL students the opportunity to consume meals that are nutritious, appealing, and served by caring professionals.

How to Apply for Free/Reduced Meals
Please visit https://linqconnect.com/main to quickly and easily apply for free or reduced price meal benefits for the 2025-2026 school year. Search for Guntersville City Schools and select Meal Application. This is an annual application process and must be completed before September 17, 2025 to avoid interruption in any previously approved SY24-25 benefits.

Guntersville City Schools is utilizing LINQ Connect, a parent portal where you can view menus and put money on a student's lunch account for purchase of a meal or extra items. One breakfast is available at NO COST to ALL students each school day. Lunch meal price is $2.75 for paid eligibility and .40 for reduced. Menus will also continue to be posted at www.guntersvilleboe.com.
To make lunch account payments, please create a new LINQ Connect account at www.linqconnect.com. Click on "REGISTER" to create a new account. You will need the following information to successfully link your student(s) to your account.

Guntersville Middle School Counseling Program Vision Statement
The vision of the counseling department at Guntersville Middle School is that all students are active, compassionate, life-long learners who are well-equipped to reach their highest standard of success. They are knowledgeable, resilient and caring adults striving to make a positive difference in their home, workplace, and global community.
Guntersville Middle School Counseling Program Mission Statement
The mission of Guntersville Middle School counseling department is to provide all students with equitable access to a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate counseling service which promotes success with an expectation of excellence. Students will be taught to treat others with fairness, justice, and respect in order to be active, compassionate, life-long learners who are well-equipped to reach their highest standard of success. Through the leadership of the school counselor, students will focus on their academic, career, and social/emotional growth which promotes the well-being of the whole child. By collaborating with counselors, students, educators, parents, and community members, the school counseling program will have the support and resources to prepare students to strive to make a positive difference in their home workplace, and global community.

The GMS Media Center has an open flexible schedule. All students are welcome to visit the media center with the permission of a classroom teacher for book checkout, usage of a Chromebook, to make-up work, tests, etc. and/or work on a school-related project.
